About us

Kowie Foundation School is a private school which offers hands-on education in the foundation phase.

Our classrooms are situated in the historic Wesley Church buildings in the coastal town of Port Alfred. We employ staff who seek opportunities for learners to realise their unique potential and to feel important.

Our mission

Through the co-operation, dedication and commitment of learners, educators and parents, we strive to provide a safe, nurturing, relevant and stimulating environment for learning. Our focus is on the development of the WHOLE child – intellectual, social, moral, emotional, spiritual and physical. We wish to prepare our children for an ever changing world; to improvise, adapt and to overcome obstacles.
